The course is comprised of three major units: How to take better notes; Cramming doesn’t work; and Write like a scholar. All three of these skills are necessary to be successful in post-secondary education. By practicing these skills now, you will be better prepared for your courses ahead.

How to take better notes provides you with a number of note taking strategies.  These strategies include reading for meaning as well as short hand. You will be required to complete a series of quizzes and submit assignments

The second unit is on study techniques. It would be self-instructional and text format.   It will provide techniques for continuous study throughout the course as well as strategies for helping conquer test anxiety.

The third unit is a writing lab.  The students would be required to submit an essay at the end of the unit to show mastery of the skill.
